GoalControl GmbH, Würselen, has signed a contract for the supply and installation of its "GoalControl-4D" goal-line technology system with the Hungarian building services technology supplier "Vilati", a subsidiary of the construction company "market", which is the general contractor for the construction of the new FTC Stadium in Budapest.

The ultra-modern arena, which has been under construction since March 2013 on the grounds of the old Albert Flórián Stadium in the Hungarian capital and is traditionally home to Budapest club Ferencváros, will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology in all areas, including a goal-line technology system. The construction of the new stadium, which will have four roofed stands with a capacity of 22,600, including 29 VIP boxes, is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2014.

"We are very proud to be have taken our first step into the Hungarian market by signing the contract to supply the FTC Stadium and to be able to equip this wonderful new arena", said Dirk Broichhausen, the Chief Executive Officer of GoalControl GmbH, who is also currently in talks with the top-flight Budapest-based club Ferencváros (whose current coach is the German Thomas Doll).

GoalControl's FIFA-licensed system has completely won over the customer – Emil Gangoly of Vilati AG, the company that issued the contract, said: "We decided to choose GoalControl-4D because we felt that it was important to bring in an innovative system provider for our prestigious project. GoalControl has been selected by FIFA as the system solution for the 2014 World Cup, and this was the main argument taken into consideration in our decision-making process. We have also come to regard GoalControl as a very competent partner for the management of the project over the course of the last few months. This mutual trust is very important for us."
